About
This 15-minute short is currently in development and much like
A Bend in the Road, it's somewhat inspired by Rollo's childhood in rural Banks Peninsula. The story, of a farmer in trouble, is connected to a feature film concept that is also currently being explored. While in rural Canterbury last summer we spent some time talking to farmers and
shooting reference film, and since then Rollo's been traipsing all over the Wairarapa looking for more pastoral inspiration.
The film has themes of desperation and tradition and in true Wenlock style, is a coming-of-age story, albeit with a twist.
We hope to shoot Burn the Farm in 2012.
